RHINOPLASTY AND SEPTOPLASTY

Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure to aesthetically enhance the nose, correcting hereditary abnormalities or post-trauma impairments. It is suitable for individuals who have completed their development, typically after puberty. Depending on complexity, the surgery lasts 1 to 3 hours.

Septoplasty corrects the position of the nasal pyramid by adjusting the nasal septum, in addition to changing the form and size of the nose. Both procedures are performed under general anesthesia.

BEFORE THE SURGERY

  • 10 Days Before: Stop taking aspirin, herbal teas, vitamins, and blood thinners.
  • 8 Hours Before: Avoid smoking, food, and liquids.
  • On the Day: You’ll undergo necessary medical tests and have a final consultation with your surgeon.

RISKS

Possible risks include:

  • Unsatisfying results
  • Infection
  • Temporary bleeding

Note: There is no risk of losing your sense of smell or impairing any other nasal functions.

RECOVERY

Post-surgery, you may experience:

  • Temporary swelling, numbness, pain, and bleeding

Recovery typically lasts 7-14 days, depending on the complexity of the surgery. The final shape of the nose will be visible in 2-3 months.
